Yes, we promised to share and overshare everything with regards to our Poland trip and what better place to start than what our planned itinerary is for this 15 day sojourn! Once we are back we will obviously post about what we ACTUALLY ended up doing, since this entire vacation is one long-ass road trip!
Well, no more small talk, here’s the plan!
In reality, we have about 13 days in Poland, and we have tried to squeeze in as much as possible and be realistic about this road trip. We also don’t want to be on the road ALL THE TIME either. We are missing out on some key places, but there were a lot of major factors that made us drop these very interesting options. Read our article about what we chose to miss in Poland and why, here.
Day by day though, here’s an overview of what we have planned for the 15 days:
We plan to land in Warsaw and spend a couple of nights there before we drive up north to the tri-city area of Gdansk, Gdnyia, and Sopot where again we will spend a couple nights, and explore the area near the Baltic Sea. Once we’re done there we head south west-ish towards Wroclaw, for 2 more nights, and then further south all the way to the Tatra mountains to spend 3 nights in the snow village of Zakopane. Once we’ve had some R&R in Zakopane and the surrounding areas of the Tatra Mountains are explored, we will head back north to Krakow for 2 nights to soak in that city life and check out some salt mines, and visit the Auschwitz concentration camp for a mandatory history lesson. Then it is further north to Lodz for 2 more nights before make our way to Warsaw. One last night in Warsaw and we exit Poland to head home via Istanbul.
There are a lot of side trips planned that we haven’t mentioned here, and of course, we even plan to avoid the actual highways and take smaller roads to enjoy the scenery and have a great trip, so make sure you follow us on Instagram to see all our trip updates as and when they happen – oh, and also for pretty pictures 😀
We have a very strong feeling these 13 days are going to go by SO quickly. Stay tuned for more from us!
