You never really know a person until you go on a vacation with them.
Just about 3 years ago, we took our first vacation together. We had been dating only for 3 weeks, we hadn’t said “I love you” to each other, and honestly, we don’t know what we were thinking, but we took a small road trip to Bangalore for a weekend. After spending a weekend with each other, we realized that we were in love. That was the trip that sealed the deal.
A week later we would spend our first month-versary sitting on a terrace coyly saying our first “I love you” under the moonlight without realizing that 3 years and several trips later, not only would we have found the love of our lives, but we’d both have found something greater: A Travel Partner.
We’re going to be really honest here and say, it is a lot easier to find a significant other than a perfect travel companion. A relationship like ours, that holds travel and animals as the epicenter is far more difficult to find than true love. Think about it, finding someone who shares the exact same travel aesthetic as you– someone who prefers the exact same destinations, adventures, itineraries, food, pace, budget and style of travel as you; no arguments whatsoever.
” Hey babe, just wanna chill in the room today”
“Love, do you want to drive out 150km to get some dinner?”
“Yes! That sounds amazing, let’s go!”
Sounds impossible, doesn’t it?
Well, it isn’t impossible, but it is indeed rare. We, as a couple, as friends, as two human beings are ridiculously lucky to have found each other and to share this vibe. Then to fall in love, and spend our days planning crazy different trips with each other and actually doing them.
3 years later, here we are, as Check Out At Noon, making the biggest commitment a couple can make to each other – to have amazing adventures with each other for the rest of our lives, and document it right here, so that one day we can look back on all the lovely memories we have created over the years and be happy we did what we did.
While we have already made the greatest commitment to each other, this Valentine’s Day 2019 , we are very happy to announce that in exactly 4 months, we will be officially getting married, and making another solid commitment to each other – to love and cherish this relationship for as long as we live.
Happy Valentine’s Day!
