We say Bali, but what we really mean is things to do in Bali + Nusa Lembongan + Nusa Ceningan; three vastly different and strikingly beautiful islands in Indonesia, just about barely explored in under 10 days. This was our first trip here, so, planning was all armchair travel and online research, and some calculated risks . If you are planning your first trip to Bali, here’s what we did. We don’t claim to know everything, but if you liked what you saw on our Instagram feed through our trip, then this might help you plan your own trip!
Origin: Chennai, India
Approximate Total Cost of Trip: ₹75000/$1100 per person
Travel Dates: December 19th- 28th 2018
It should be said at this point of time that a majority of our expenditure was on flights and accommodation; roughly ₹ 55000/ $770 on flights – we flew AirAsia, the cheapest option available and it was expensive because of the Holiday Season. We also decided to indulge in a bit of luxury and booked ourselves into some really nice places, racking up our accommodation cost to around ₹55000/$770. We used around ₹35000/$500 in cash (we converted to Indonesian Rupiah), apart from pre-booking a couple activities online, and swiping our card here and there to pay at restaurants. Here’s a handy guide to understanding the currency of Indonesia and how to handle it!
